Thomas Edwin Ikin was
born in 1877 in Wrockwardine Wood, and baptised on 2nd August in
Wombridge Church. In 1901 he is recorded as owning his shop in Oakengates,
where he won prizes for his pies and bread. In 1902 he married Eleanor
Martha Turner in Whitchurch, and he died in 1939. His wife predeceased
him, dying in 1932 and they are buried together in Red Lake churchyard.
